Family is the most important thing in life for 90% of Brits in a UK-wide poll.
A total of 62% called themselves a “very happy family”, with a further 36% “happy most of the time”.
Two-thirds of parents said they could not cope without their partner, while 40% of those polled want more quality time together, nearly a fifth want to work less and just over half feel more cash would be the best change.
Other findings reveal Brits watch 489 hours of TV, order 60 takeaways and wait 14 hours for the kettle to boil.
We spend more than a week taking kids to clubs or parties and seven hours waiting for the bathroom.
But there is time for 1,435 hugs and saying “I love you” on 1,036 occasions, Virgin Money Life Insurance found.
Its head Jayne Warner said: “These heart-warming findings show how much families depend on each other.”
