You can’t beat puppy love! Lady and the Tramp’s iconic spaghetti moment is voted the nation’s favourite restaurant movie scene

Moviegoers have lapped it up ever since it was first shown 65 years ago.

And the moment when two dogs from different sides of the tracks accidentally kiss while sharing a plate of spaghetti and meatballs in Disney’s 1955 classic Lady and the Tramp is still going down a treat in 2020.

The touching moment has been voted our favourite restaurant scene of all time in a survey conducted as the nation prepares to resume eating out this weekend.

It was a hit with 60 per cent of 2,000 Britons polled by Perspectus Global – although it almost ended up being cut as Walt Disney felt it might not be ‘clean’ enough.

The moment Robin Williams’ disguise slips as the title character in Mrs Doubtfire was second, while Meg Ryan’s fake orgasm at the dinner table in When Harry Met Sally… came third.
