The 30 toughest questions all parents have been asked by their kid

How are babies made? Where does electricity come from? Why can’t I stay awake until you go to bed? Were just some of the tricky questions all parents have had to answer.

Parents are asked nearly ten thousands questions a year by inquisitive children, a new study has revealed.

This means mums and dads have to answer 27 questions every single day, or 9,855 annually.

The poll of parents found three quarters (75 percent) often fail to answer their kids’ questions and over one in five (21 percent) said their own lack of knowledge about the world means they often have no idea when their kids ask them about it.

How are babies made? Where does electricity come from? And why did the universe start? Were among the trickiest questions children ask. As was, is Santa real? Why is water wet? And where does wind come from?

Baby and toddler brand Munchkin carried out the research and found nearly 32 percent of parents said their history knowledge needed brushing up.

The study found that, when faced with questions they don’t know the answer to, 40 percent of parents encourage their sons and daughters to look online, 12 percent tell their kids they just don’t know and change the subject, and an imaginative 13 percent of parents admit to making something up.

An honest 56 percent said there is no shame in not being able to answer your kids’ questions and the same amount said they are amazed at the amount of information their children can absorb.
