Things Brits value most revealed in new survey
A GOOD cup of tea, eight hours sleep and parking outside your home are things Brits value most.
Family time topped the poll, with a happy home life second and good health third.
Freedom to travel, freedom of speech, the NHS, being able to watch the telly streaming service Netflix, and being allowed to work from home all featured.
A good cuppa was backed by 22 percent, sleep by 21 percent and convenient parking by 10 percent but only 9 percent rated social media.
Belly laughing with pals, good mental health and honesty in relationships are also much loved.
Shakila Ahmed, of Travelodge who conducted the survey, said: “Our research shows that we have become a value-seeking nation that is striving to get the most out of all aspects of our lives.
“We want our time, money, friendship and love to work hard for us and provide a good return.
“We are seeing a growing trend in more Britons maximising their leisure time by eliminating the traditional two-week holiday and booking lots of short breaks.
“This way they can extend their leisure time throughout the year with more experiences and have multiple short bursts of quality time with family and friends.”
But 59 percent feel we are completely immersed in an online world and less community minded.
