Yes, FREE!

Some potential clients are surprised to find that we offer an ‘on the house’ idea generation service for PR research – at no cost at all.

But there are reasons why:

1. WE’RE GOOD AT IT

We have spent years creating research based stories for national news press. It’s what we do – day in, day out. If you share your brief with us – whether it’s for a live project, or a pitch, we’re very happy to give you the benefit of our expertise. We also work with the media every day, and can give you advice about what is currently trending, and what is flopping, in terms of news generation ideas.

2. WE CAN SUPPLY A GREAT IDEA, EARLY ON

As a team of ex-journalists we live and breathe national news. If we’re involved from the start, we can guarantee that the stories we give you are strong enough to make headlines – which means you can go to the client with a robust idea that will work. This is much better than receiving an idea which isn’t going to get coverage, but which the client is wedded to.

3. WE UNDERSTAND CONTEXT, BETTER THAN AI

This is the reason why our brainstorms – for the moment – are better than AI or any large language models. The cost and computing power for AI mainly goes into the initial prompt – the more you give it, the longer it will take before giving you answers – and if you make the prompt too big, it will decline. (There’s very in depth technical detail about this, which we will spare you) Our prompt is the entire news cycle and many years of seeing what is popular as well as what is printed. Reading the room can never be a strong point of artificial intelligence.

4. IT’S FUN!

The most gratifying reason is that we get to sit around and bat ideas around until we find the right one. We love the creativity that this brings to our jobs – and the to and fro of the sessions. It’s why we come to work in the morning.

And if you’d like a news clinic – again FREE – we’d be very happy to come to your office and talk about PR research, the media landscape, and also do a live brainstorming session for you. If this appeals, drop us a line of the email address above.
